What is the best way to create a drain in a custom built cham cage?

You can allow water to drip right through a screen or mesh bottom, or if the bottom is plastic you can install a grate and pipe system underneath. I have not done that myself, but have seen several pictures online of chameleon breeders cages like that.

This can be set to go outside and drain there.
